Your host Bronwen Mellor Davidson (mobile 084 299 5382) is one the leading bird artists in South Africa, offering advice on birding. We have available for guests a library plus packed lunches or breakfasts for birders. Description of property: A BIRDING DESTINATION in the heart of a Ramsar Wet & Grassland Reserve in southern Mpumalanga on the edge of the great Drakensberg escarpment in a tranquil rural setting. We are within walking distance of the wetland and bird hides on the outskirts of the village with lovely views of the surrounding hills. Our Dutch gabled guest house caters for self caterers in a beautiful restored "Forget- me- not" Cottage, which has two twin en suite bedrooms and a delightful open plan living/dining area with fireplace; fully equipped kitchen; (stove; fridge/ freezer; microwave; toaster; kettle ect). A special Zulu Lapa enclosure for barbeques; secure parking.
In addition, we have a stylishly furnished Victorian double en suite bedroom, with it's private entrance in the Dutch Gabled Homestead (Circa 1870)
